Since 2015 we have collected over 16,000 pairs of used running shoes, which we have subsequently donated to the athletes at our Training Camps in Kenya and Mozambique. This has allowed them to train to the best of their abilities and achieve important objectives in international races.
In 2017, as part of “Let them run again” #letthemrun, we are seeking to raise awareness among runners throughout the world, in order to collect even more shoes and discover a solid form of support for our charitable activities.
Your support is vital: every day we work hard to improve the lives of hundreds of young people, but we can’t do it on our own, we need your help.
With only one euro you can gift a full days training to the kids in our training camps in Kenya and Mozambique.
As part of the SHOES SHARING project we are holding events and creating collection points where runners can donate their shoes. Furthermore by giving only €10 you can help us to transport 10 pairs of shoes to our training camps, where hundreds of children are waiting for this gift in order to start their training and follow the dream of becoming champions.
Passion alone is not enough, our athletes need to be taught and supported by professionals in their field, to have the chance to become champions both in sport and in life. 100€ would cover the costs of an education and the bed and board of an atlete for an entire month.
These are merely examples of what we could do with your help and we would be highly grateful for any sum that you are able to donate. To facilitate the participation of our many long term followers and supporters, allowing them to play an active part in the project, we have also become an International Foundation, registered in London (UK) with the number 1167159.
We are honoured to count among our ambassadors the Olympic and World champions Lornah Kiplagat and David Rudisha. After two years of work, the Purosangue Foundation has really hit the ground running and as a result, those who wish to can help us to grow our dreams alongside the cultivation of our young talent.
