Let’s put together a perfect sunny day, temperatures that remind us of spring, a red vest and the stage is set. For the purosangue Peter Kwemoi Ndorobo (Purosangue Athletics Club) the Gensan Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon was a simply unforgettable day, including a first place finish and a personal best to update.

Peter Kwemoi Ndorobo put his seal on the lovers’ 21 km, completing his second successive victory with a perfectly managed race. It was typical of his style of attacking the road, taking the reins at the 10km mark and pushing himself right to the finish line where he was met by great applause, clinching first place in 1:00:43.

This very respectable time betters Ndorobo’s triumph from last year in 1:01:01 and sets a new best time for him at the half marathon distance, beating that, which he clocked up at the 2018 Prague Half Marathon.

The Kenyan flag was proudly flying also in sixth place thanks to Karbolo Tatiyia who crossed the finish line in 1:05:24 wearing PUROSANGUE team colours.
